Friday we headed out to the zoo. The intent was to meet up with other homeschooling families, however we were unable to find anyone in that group. Come to find out they were all running late. So, that left just me and the kids! We had a nice time!!!Typically when we go to the zoo we are with a bunch of other families or with a guest - which makes for a different zoo experience. While we always have a really nice time, Friday was different - in a great way! Holly really engaged me with the zoo, she asked a lot of questions and was just perfect to be honest. Such a different experience, a lovely experience.
We really took a slow time doing the zoo, enjoyed the play area, caught a tank feeding, had a nice picnic lunch and even watched the show they put on... which she loved. It was a great day, one we'll have to do again soon!
