On the second day we all headed up to a little lake called Lost Lake. It is located off of an old service road, however I'd hardly say it was a 'lost' lake -- this lake had more people at it fishing and camping than most public parks. 
The lake was beautiful as was the drive up. The kids spent some time fishing... okay minutes really. However, they had fun tossing their lines in to see what might happen. Then they all enjoyed a hike around the lake with our friends. 
After some time back at camp for water play and dinner we then took a small adventure out onto an elk preserve that is near by. Again, we headed up a service road in search of big horned sheep and elk... we were lucky enough to find both! It was fun to try and spot them.
