Hudson's First Birthday

Hudson turned one yesterday... one! I cannot even begin to say how quickly this past year has flown by. I feel like it was just a couple months ago that Hudson joined our family. He has added so much joy and happiness to our family and each day is an exciting new journey together.

At one Hudson is a curious, sweet little boy. His smile makes my heart melt and his interest in stuff keeps me on my toes most days. He loves balls and things that move. Hudson adores his big sister and will follow her about the house. The cats are a joy for him, he loves to pat them and go for their tails... and they still come back for more. We are learning to be gentle! He adores music and time with Daddy and all things guitar, dancing and music. Hudson can say a couple of words - when he chooses: mama, dada, cat and uh oh. He babbles a lot. He drools. He is a star cruiser and spends a majority of his day cruising around the house to see what he can get into. He is not walking just yet, he'll take a step and then go down to the ground - he is working on his confidence. His eyes are beautiful... one day blue then next a hazel color. Has eight teeth. Hudson has an amazing giggle. He loves his mommy. Loves to snuggle and cuddle. He enjoys reading books in the warmth of my arms... he loves to sit in a pile of books and explore them for a long, long time. Hudson is an amazing little boy who shares joy each day and fills our heart with love.

Having Fun Together

Every day that passes I see more and more play time happening between Holly and Hudson. It is really sweet them coming together and enjoying moments of fun, enjoying being siblings.

On this day they spent a lot of time playing with musical instruments. Finally Holly brought out her little key board and let Hudson play with her after she showed him 'how' of course. They played for a long time on it together... then it hit me, I should get a photo or two. So, this is all I got for pictures but to be honest I was so in love watching them together, a picture was just not on my mind.

Art Walk Night

Last night we headed out to enjoy Art Walk in downtown Tacoma. We picked Bryan up from work and had a nice little dinner and brew at The Hub. After dinner went down and had dessert at Hello Cupcake... so yummy!!!

Then we went over to the Tacoma Art Museum for a fun night of art. They were featuring a Japanese theme for the evening in conjunction with an exhibit they had on display. It was wonderful as they had traditional music and dance happening, a children's film, creating a Japanese hat, trying out instruments, playing some games and creating a koi kite. It was really fun!

Leg Warmers

Hudson got a pair of leg warmers from Auntie Sue. Last night we tried them on him while he was crawling around. Hudson seemed to want to pull them down below his knees and didn't seem so sure of them. He kept checking them out, crawl a bit, pull on them some and then sit and look at them. It was pretty cute.
