Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

During our trip to Disneyland they held a party called "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party". I read reviews and they were fantastic so we decided to get tickets and attend the party. It was wonderful!!! The weather, not so much - but the activities and fun were completely worth it.

The park was filled with Trick or Treating stations that everyone could enjoy... loads and loads of treats! Several characters were out for photo opportunities and some were wondering about. They fogged up the New Orleans Square area and tinted it with blue light creating a really cool spooky feeling. They had various dance parties for families scattered about, Halloween music of all kinds all over, a fantastic fireworks show that was the hit of the night and a Halloween parade. This was an evening when I did not take many photos because we were having so much fun enjoying the evening, taking in rides (no lines at all), trick or treating and more. A really great time!

Disneyland Fun

More great shots from our vacation. We were lucky enough to have some friends who were also able to vacation at the same time at Disney. Holly was very excited as these are some of her favorite people. On our first day we were finally able to meet up with them and do some rides and have some fun!

A Rest Stop or Two

Along the way we made several rest stops, not your average rest stops mind you... but some beautiful little stops! We slowed down to take in some elk on a small preserve. It was loaded with elk - they were huge, beautiful animals... right off the side of the road, not even bothered by our presence. It was a joy to watch them and take in their beauty.
We also stopped in some great little spots along the mountain ranges going between I-5 and the coastline. One stop was long the river. There were a couple of fly fisherman along the river, other than that is was quiet, peaceful and beautiful right at dusk! While Bryan fed Hudson Holly and I discovered several little brown frogs about the rocks - hopping out to the river. It made for a fun little break.

Trees Of Mystery

While on our trip we stopped to enjoy the long standing tourist spot 'Trees of Mystery' with Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue ox. Bryan and I both remember stopping and seeing these same two characters when we were younger.
This was a fun little spot that had a trail which led up to the Sky Trail, a lift through the forest tops. It was a bit nerve wracking for Holly and I at first, but we handled it well. It was beautiful, although a bit foggy, still breathtaking!
